BlockBrains’ new customer: Stationery Team

BlockBrains’ new customer: Stationery Team

Our new customer Last week, BlockBrains signed a new contract with Stationery Team. Stationery Team is Europe’s largest publishing company specialized in branded products, bags and accessories. The organization is known for its fresh designs, innovative products, knowledge of culture and a strong sales network in Europe and beyond. Stationery Team is currently undergoing a transition as an organization. Originally there was one delivery time per year with a seasonal item. But with its new proposition and much broader product range, this will shift to multiple delivery times per year. Application Multiple delivery times per year means more orders and has a direct impact on the entire organization. Stationery Team is forced to structure the entire process from the first development of an article to the delivery to the customer and to keep a grip on all available data for the parties involved. As a result of our meetings, Stationery has asked Team BlockBrains to offer a future-proof and structural solution that fits the organization and its growth objectives. Stationery Team’s objective is to have a Product Data Management Portal in use by January 2020 that provides the need to have business needs. To achieve this, BlockBrains will develop a new

In all these steps I get to work in close collaboration with the customer in order to make sure that the solution that we are building matches the expectations and the needs of the customer. I was also interested in the challenge to create high quality applications with a small team,

Meet our new developer, Dylan!

Meet our new developer, Dylan!

We’re getting bigger and bigger, so that means we have to hire some great new people! And we succeeded, because we’ve hired Dylan. Of course you also want to get to know Dylan better, that’s why we asked him a few short questions about himself. Who’s Dylan? I am Dylan Gomez Vazquez, a 21 year old software engineer who was born and raised in Utrecht. I graduated last summer, which makes this my very first fully fledged full time job. Besides working I love travelling to obscure places, trying out new recipes I’ve found on Instagram and lifting heavy things. Why did you choose BlockBrains? With this being my first full time job I had to make sure I knew what I was getting myself into. BlockBrains had a clear plan and made sure everything I needed to know as a starter was covered. The projects and the ‘low-code’, ‘no-code’ concepts provide a fun challenge for me which made me really excited to start this journey with BlockBrains. What did you do in your first month? Well, besides tipping over a (pretty big) vase and getting used to waking up early I had learn to get used to how BettyBlocks works.

Meet our new developer, Matthijs!

We’re getting bigger and bigger, so that means we have to hire some great new people! And we succeeded, because we’ve hired Matthijs. Of course you also want to get to know Matthijs better, that’s why we asked him a few short questions about himself. Who’s Matthijs? I am a frontend developer from Zutphen, where I live with my cat and my girlfriend (in no particular order). I like to develop modern frontend code, using bleeding edge technologies if possible to deliver maximum value to customers. Why did you choose BlockBrains? The chance to work in a small team and quickly produce applications for different customers attracted me. The different constraints in both time, division of attention and technology from my previous work present an interesting challenge. What did you do in your first month? I scouted the technology landscape we use, met the people I’ll be working / cooperating with and did some minor bugfixing in existing applications to get a feel for things. I also did some prototyping for a new client, to figure out a way of working on the frontend that is both modern and meshes well with Betty Blocks. Which moment was the best? Finding
