Process optimization through digitization at Précon

Process optimization through digitization at Précon

In January 2019, BlockBrains started optimizing the key work processes for Précon based on the Betty Blocks platform. Précon is the market leader and still growing in the field of product safety, quality and sustainability. The company sets its boundaries based on its expertise in food, non-food, governance and learning. Précon continues to expand In the last year, Précon has experienced considerable growth, which has resulted in an increase in the number of processes. The extra processes had their own workload and workflow management. And due to the increasing number of projects, the margin of error also increased considerably. The need arose for an application that supports Précon’s current workflow and ensures that Précon can serve its customers even better. With the help of BlockBrains, there is now an opportunity for change. First results The first results have already been delivered. BlockBrains has developed a new self-service portal based on the Betty Blocks no-code platform. Using this portal, Précon can receive, assign, track and invoice requests from customers. With the new application customers have real-time insight into the order status. Meet our new developer Daniël!

Meet our new developer Daniël!

We’re getting bigger and bigger, so that means we have to hire some new great people! And we succeeded, because we’ve hired Daniël. Of course you also want to get to know Daniël better, that’s why we asked him a few short questions about himself. Who’s Daniël? Well, I’m Daniël Smits, 24 years old and born in Wilp (a little village in The Netherlands). I’ve studied business administration at the Nyenrode Business University in Amsterdam. Besides my classes, I’ve teached myself some programming skills in JavaScript. After traveling the world and gaining some work experience as a freelancer, it was time to get a job as a developer. Why did you choose BlockBrains? Well actually, they choose me ;). A recruiter contacted me about the jobs at BlockBrains. During the job interviews i’ve got the feeling that BlockBrains was a good place to become a good developer. So therefore I’m here now! What are you going to do in your first week? In my first week I want to get to know the Betty Blocks platform by practicing some cases. And of course I would like to spend some time with my new colleagues. Which moment was the best? Well, we

Meet our new developer, Dylan!

We’re getting bigger and bigger, so that means we have to hire some great new people! And we succeeded, because we’ve hired Dylan. Of course you also want to get to know Dylan better, that’s why we asked him a few short questions about himself. Who’s Dylan? I am Dylan Gomez Vazquez, a 21 year old software engineer who was born and raised in Utrecht. I graduated last summer, which makes this my very first fully fledged full time job. Besides working I love travelling to obscure places, trying out new recipes I’ve found on Instagram and lifting heavy things. Why did you choose BlockBrains? With this being my first full time job I had to make sure I knew what I was getting myself into. BlockBrains had a clear plan and made sure everything I needed to know as a starter was covered. The projects and the ‘low-code’, ‘no-code’ concepts provide a fun challenge for me which made me really excited to start this journey with BlockBrains. What did you do in your first month? Well, besides tipping over a (pretty big) vase and getting used to waking up early I had learn to get used to how BettyBlocks works.

Meet our new developer, Matthijs!

Meet our new developer, Matthijs!

We’re getting bigger and bigger, so that means we have to hire some great new people! And we succeeded, because we’ve hired Matthijs. Of course you also want to get to know Matthijs better, that’s why we asked him a few short questions about himself. Who’s Matthijs? I am a frontend developer from Zutphen, where I live with my cat and my girlfriend (in no particular order). I like to develop modern frontend code, using bleeding edge technologies if possible to deliver maximum value to customers. Why did you choose BlockBrains? The chance to work in a small team and quickly produce applications for different customers attracted me. The different constraints in both time, division of attention and technology from my previous work present an interesting challenge. What did you do in your first month? I scouted the technology landscape we use, met the people I’ll be working / cooperating with and did some minor bugfixing in existing applications to get a feel for things. I also did some prototyping for a new client, to figure out a way of working on the frontend that is both modern and meshes well with Betty Blocks. Which moment was the best? Finding

Partner Agreement: Start-up BlockBrains as dedicated Betty Blocks partner

Partner Agreement: Start-up BlockBrains as dedicated Betty Blocks partner

Press Release Start-up BlockBrains enters market as dedicated Betty Blocks partner The new company BlockBrains, from The Netherlands, has started today as a dedicated partner of no-code supplier Betty Blocks. The Founders of BlockBrains, Kay Lankheet and Allard Brand, want to close the existing gap between business and IT. A match was found with Betty Blocks, a typically Dutch company that is making significant progress internationally with their fresh perspective on software development. The first customer of BlockBrains is Précon Group, for which the organization develops a workflow application. No code accelerates innovation The speed with which applications are developed needs to increase considerably. That is why BlockBrains develops, together with the business side of organizations, smart solutions for processes based on no-code, where standard software isn’t an option. With this, the organization focuses on innovative companies that want to stay ahead of the competition and use
